Juan Morera and Llandel Vegilla, known under the name of Wisin y Yandel, represent one of the most successful bands in the reggaeton scene. Their style clearly differs from that of others and partially contains certain features of other music styles. It allows them to reach a large audience of any age and any skin color.
Wisin y Yandel come from Isla del Encanto, Puerto Rico. Ever since they were little, they were exposed to the influence of such pioneers of reggaeton as Vico C and El General.
Style and musical influence of Wisin y Yandel
Their music and lyrics are highly original and deep, clearly distinguishing these two from the rest of the reggaeton artists. Their family support is the main motivation and inspiration for Wisin y Yandel, a tangible topic in their mix of balero and reggaeton. But what really unites them is the love of music, which becomes obvious in such successful songs as "Rákata" and "Mayor que yo".
First joint projects and their own first record
